Kinetic Engineers has recently completed the contract to carry out the role as the Quality Assurance Manager within the new 6th form college for Newcastle College.

The new facility built at a cost of £24.0 million and which provides 21st century facilities over 11,000m2 of teaching space was handed over to the college in March with full occupation commencing in September 2013.

The role of Kinetic was to ensure that the clients brief and expectations were designed and ultimately installed, as well as offering Quality Assurance and Validation feedback to the project team through the course of the installation and commissioning period. Kinetic have also been retained through the initial 8-week occupation period to ensure the Mechanical and Electrical systems operate as per design and to the satisfaction of all occupants, thus ensuring a seamless transition from the construction phase through the initial occupancy period.

The Project has been designed by RMJM architects, project managed by Turner & Townsend and has been constructed by BAM Construction Ltd, whilst the Mechanical and Electrical design and build contractor was BAM Services Engineering.
